The Role of Geelong District Golf Association (Golf Geelong)

 

Under the rules of the constitution of GDGA Inc., GDGA is charged with the responsibility of running nominated aspects of golf, in particular, 
(i)       Running the handicapping system 
(ii)     Running pennant, district championships etc 
(iii)    Selecting representative teams
(iv)   Acting as Golf Victoria’s agent within the district
GDGA will continue to run these activities in the spirit of the constitution, and will endeavour to continually raise the bar in terms of excellence in this area.
Of particular concern to the Executive of GDGA is the return of our representative teams in State competitions to the elite levels enjoyed in the past.
GDGA will also continue to pursue a harmonious relationship with South Western District Ladies Golf Association with a view to local amalgamation in the future.
